Vincent’s bio

Scientific researcher

Born 1997 in Frankfurt am Main I showed an early interest in the inner experience of and conflicts between people. Through my family environment, I came into contact with spirituality and yoga at a young age.

At the age of 16 I decided to make my love for the human spirit my vocation and since then pursued to become a psychotherapist. During extensive travels and exposure to different cultures, especially indigenous traditions in South America and Africa, my interest in psychedelic substances and their potential for treating mental health problems grew steadily.

All through my studies in Vienna and my master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, this fascination kept going. My drive led me to complete an internship at the Hasler Lab at the University of Fribourg focussing on researching the potential neuroplastic effects of LSD on the human brain and also how mental processes can facilitate lasting effects of psychedelic substances. I now proceeded to start my PhD in this lab, researching the effects of DMT on neurological deficits in cocaine users.

I am passionate about understanding the human psyche and helping people live fulfilling lives. I aspire to deepen my knowledge and skills in clinical psychology to make a contribution to improving mental health.
