In 2015, the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) established a Center for Integrative and Complementary Medicine (CEMIC), affiliated with its Anesthesiology Department, to meet the public's desire for access to complementary medicine services within healthcare facilities.

It's worth noting that people suffering from long-term chronic illnesses often turn to these practices, which seem to provide answers where conventional medicine reaches its limits.

The integration of these treatments aims, among other things, to alleviate symptoms in ill patients. This is why Palliative Vaud is offering this day of exploration and reflection on this highly relevant topic.
