I've always been fascinated by how the human mind and consciousness work, and I'm passionate about mental health and how often it's overlooked. I left Morocco at 17 to study psychology in Strasbourg, France. While procrastinating on my studies, I got into the habit of watching various conferences online. That's when I stumbled upon talks about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and I was instantly hooked, even though it seemed like a far-off dream.
During my studies, I felt something was missing—the scientific side of psychology. So, I moved to Geneva for my master's in psychology, as the city is known for its strong scientific field in psychology. At a PsyCH student congress, I discovered ALPS and the different psychedelic student associations. I was amazed at how psychedelic-assisted therapy was developing in Switzerland.
I decided to join ALPS to help spread awareness and contribute to this exciting field. I can't wait to see the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy in areas like cognitive aging, grief, fear of death, cravings and PTSD. I'm thrilled to be part of a team that's working towards better understanding and promoting the potential of psychedelics for mental health.
